Kim Frank
For more than twenty years Kim Frank, Founder of Corp-Growth, has been building businesses through a healthy mix of internal and external means. Kim has a proven track record of growing and turning around companies through strategic roadmap development, business development, organizational restructuring, acquisitions, divestitures and alliances. She has a broad cross-domain operating experience as Corporate Development Executive, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Board Member. Kim’s experience spans Fortune 500, Mid Cap and startups in key technology sectors including software, hardware, Internet, semiconductors, EDA and automated test equipment.
Kim Frank has deep M&A expertise having identified and negotiated more than 60 acquisitions and alliances ranging in size from $2M to $5B for start-ups, turn-arounds and Fortune 50 companies. Kim founded Corp-Growth to provide interim corporate development, buy-side M&A and growth consulting services for start-ups and mid size technology companies.
Prior to forming her own company, Kim served as Corporate VP Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances at Cadence Design Systems, where she acquired and integrated 21 companies and 4 strategic alliances and drove significantly higher acquisition success rates than tech industry benchmarks. Over 90% of the acquisitions out-performed the targeted sources of value and there were 97% retention rates for acquisition employees over three years. This work was pivotal in bringing Cadence back to the global #1 technology and market position.
Kim’s experience also includes Assistant Treasurer responsible for M&A at Intel Corporation; M&A lawyer at distinguished law firms such as Latham & Watkins and Snell & Wilmer; General Counsel of a Japanese public company; Board Member of private technology companies; and interim executive of several technology start-ups and turn-arounds.
Kim participates in numerous M&A roundtables hosted by accounting firms, law firms, and other relevant service providers. She is also on the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (FWE&E) Board of Advisors and Freshi Films, LLC Board of Advisors Ms. Frank is proud of her active participation in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Triathlon Team in Training and has completed several Olympic distance triathlons, several half Ironmans and one Ironman with TNT.
