 History:
FRESHi FilmWorx grew out of the successful film camps offered to 8-18 years olds for the past fourteen years at the International Family Film Festival in Valencia and Hollywood, California. The Festival has witnessed the joy, intensity, fun, knowledge and truth that young filmmakers are capable of communicating. Showcasing their projects to an audience of peers through their school, a festival or the Internet results in an empowerment hard to match through traditional educational channels.
Over the past fourteen years, Freshi has worked with over 100,000 young people, expanded the age range to include Kindergarden and first grade students and taken the filmmaking program on board Princess Cruises.
Currently, Freshi teaches over 10,000 student filmmakers a semester in over 200 schools in 12 states across the United States.
